Groundbreaking ceremony: Center for Mental Health, Ingolstadt
We are delighted about the joint project with a|sh sander.hofrichter architekten GmbH. The ground-breaking ceremony on 24.9.24 laid the foundation stone for a modern center for mental health on the campus at Ingolstadt Hospital. The first construction phase is scheduled for completion in 2027, with the second phase expected to be completed in 2031. The investment costs for the future-oriented clinic complex are planned to total 191 million euros. The floor area of almost 33,000 square meters on four levels offers space for 325 beds in 14 nursing wards. The complex consists of six buildings connected by open outdoor areas. Services include general psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine, addiction medicine and geriatric psychiatry. In addition, there will be an institutional outpatient clinic, which will provide rapid care close to home, and an adolescent ward for the special needs of adolescents and young adults.
The new building impresses with its sustainable construction.
Sustainability played an important role in the planning. The skeleton construction saves 2,500 square meters of reinforced concrete and 800 tons of CO₂ emissions. The timber infill will save another 350 tons of CO₂ emissions. The building will also be equipped with a PV system.
